The idea for Lawns Direct grew from a passion for all things garden.

In the past, we focused on offering high-quality solutions to make gardening easier and more accessible for our customers. That sprouted a thought: how else can we deliver strong service to help clients improve their gardens?

We delved deep into the seed mixes on the market, cross-referencing them with our customers’ interests and requirements, and decided that grass seed was the natural next step for us.

We are a UK-registered company, proudly based in Cumbria, with extensive experience in the garden maintenance market. Our products are sourced and researched with the grower in mind to deliver the best results with the least effort.

Our ongoing research and development is dedicated to better growth and resilience. New products are on the way for gardeners, groundskeepers, and paddock owners—designed to simplify seeding, strengthen swards, and speed recovery from wear, season after season.

Beyond the data, we are a small, family-run business fuelled by the same "weekend gardening bug" that bites our customers. You’ll usually find us with muddy knees in our own back gardens, or simply enjoying a quiet Sunday morning on the lawn with a cup of tea.
